Some 20 years ago, Randy was the first international impro teacher who significantly shaped the Gorillas‘ impro. And IMPRO itself is also inspired by this connection – the 2000 festival in Seattle triggered the idea to start an international festival in Berlin. Randy has been an annual guest in Berlin ever since, and thus we couldn’t imagine an IMPRO without him. Randy co-founded unexpected productions in Seattle in 1983 and has been its artistic director since 1988. He plays and teaches all over the world and also takes an interest in what impro can do in therapy and psychology and how storytelling can promote health.
