Ashawnti Sakina Ford and John Gebretatose, are performing successfully in Minneapolis as »Blackout Improv« with a mix of great impro, serious truths and weird comedy. Both of them being for the first time at IMPRO, will invent their own festival format together with the audience. For the second part, the two invite themselves guests from our international cast to improvise wonderful and fantastic scenes with them.

For the first time in IMPRO's history, Women's Day falls within the festival period. However, Inbal Lori, as host of this evening, will welcome not only female but also male colleagues from all over the world. They will relate to the theme of the day, and you can be sure that this will be an evening full of life, vitality and great scenes and songs.

Four players, four rounds, four stories: that’s how the evening begins, but in the end, there is only one story left, because the others will have been voted out by the audience. Which one will prevail? Is it fulminant Tarantino, the heartstring-pulling romantic comedy or melancholy Chekhov after all? Together with the audience, the ensemble will look for the most suspenseful, most beautiful, the weirdest – the best improvised story of the night. Impro – rich in variety, swashbuckling, topical.

A very special Solo show from Gilly Alfeo. While acting out an improvised story of two souls clashing into each other, he also composes and records the soundtrack for the scenes on the spot. A performance without boundaries between musician and actor, playing, telling, singing, everything merges into this One-Person-Show. You can expect touching soulful characters and heartbreaking music…

One of the most successful and popular formats of our festival is Back! In the Improvision Song Contest, you, the audience decide what will be sung, and of course which country will win the most points for its spontaneously improvised song. Five singers from five countries compete with each other while performing hip hop or blues, an aria or heavy metal, reggae or anything. Who sings the most beautifully? Who writes the most quick-witted lyrics? Who stirs the hearts the most? And our twelve points go to...

For three days the participants of the BIF-Workshops will attend classes with Ashawnti, John, Lorenz and Sara - tonight, hosted by Juš, they will have the pleasure to play a show with several members of our international cast.

Everyone is the sum of their experiences. These experiences change and define us. Sometimes hold us back. Some push us forward. Lets fill the theatre with these life events and create special scenes, stories and songs to explore and celebrate the adventures that brought us here to this moment.

A sofa and relationships. Polyamorous, fixed, monogamous, open, casual or committed. Nele Kießling's show pairs up the festival cast and sends them all to couples therapy. Couples that couldn't be more different speak their minds and try to build bridges. Between misunderstanding and love, between the needs and everyday shit.
